I would like to thank all of my fans, friends, and family who have supported me through this 2 year long process to write, record, and produce this record! I am so grateful for all the opportunities God has given me over the last several years, and I can’t believe it’s all finally coming to fruition. On my debut record entitled “Ever After”, I co-wrote six heartfelt songs—some fun and some lyrically deep. My hope and desire is that you would roll the windows down, turn your dial up, and sing along—or for some of you, I pray that these lyrics and the messages touch you in a way only music can. I’m very honored to have written these songs with established writers, friends, and even family. The very first track, Road Trippin was the first song I wrote in Nashville, alongside my husband and two-time Grammy award winning writer and producer, Chris Stevens. I co-wrote Date Night with Jim Perkins and Lance Carpenter, who just got his first number one song for co-writing country music breakout artist Kelsea Ballerini’s hit, “Love Me Like You Mean It.” I also had the pleasure to co-write with Matt Utterback, Hunter Hayes’ bass player, and Nashville singer/songwriter Nathan Picard. I am also so thrilled to have written with Augusta, GA natives Jim Perkins and Phillip Lee—both phenomenal musicians that I respect and admire. I’d have to say, though, that my favorite co-writer of all has to be my husband (sorry, lots of bias here!). We dreamed this up together, wrote lyrics on napkins on date nights, and sacrificed so much to get this record produced and in your hands. It’s already a dream come true! I’d like to thank all of my insanely talented musician friends who worked so hard to give me the sound I wanted and for Paul Kimsal, the producer of this record, for seeing my vision and making it come to life. Thank you so much for supporting me as an artist and a writer, and I look forward to how Ever After makes an impact in this world! God bless!
